Karim Abou Ouf is the Creative designer behind beik. He was born in Scotland where he spent a few years before moving back to his father's native Egypt. It was there, amongst the vibrant colours and textures of Cairo, that Karim began to nurture a passion for materials, fabrics and colours and admire the skilled craftsmen of the historical city.

In 2002 he finished Business School in Egypt and worked for a few years in banking, but his heart was always elsewhere, and at every available opportunity, Karim would take a course in fashion or fabrics, and draw and craft one of his designs.

In 2007 his dreams finally materialized and his journey to the world of fashion was just about to begin. He studied at the London College of Fashion in the United Kingdom and after he completed his studies, his brand beik was born.
